
Care Home Team Leader – Days
We are recruiting for a Care Home Team Leader for day shifts, on a full time basis, working at our Rosetrees Residential Care Home in Friern Barnet. This post is for 40.25 hours per week, on a rota basis, which will include weekends. The post is working 4 days in week 1 and 3 days in week 2. Shifts are from 8am to 8pm.
What you’ll be doing
Acting as team leader, you’ll play a key role in making sure all residents are supported to meet their physical, emotional and social needs. To ensure a seamless provision of care, you’ll manage your team and also act as part of the care team on shift, helping with everything from personal care to administering medicine. Your senior duties will include (but aren’t limited to):
- Organising staff allocations and breaks
- Arranging cover for absences
- Liaising with home managers
- Dealing with external agencies or visiting professionals (GP etc.)
Who we’re looking for:
You’ll be a great communicator who’s confident leading a team, with previous experience in a similar care environment supervising others. As this role is on a day rota basis, you’ll need to be able to work shifts including weekends and evenings. We’re also looking for:
- Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent (minimum)
- Experience working with older people with dementia
- Willing to undertake all aspects of care to meet residents’ needs
