
Nursery Purchase Ledger Clerk – Keren’s Nursery

An exciting opportunity for a part-time Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our Outstanding Nursery Head Office to cover a long period of sick leave, with the potential for this to become permanent for the right person.
We require:
At least three years’ accounting experience
One year of which must be in a school/nursery setting
Thorough experience of QuickBooks
Hours: Up to 25 hours per week (depending on workload)
Location: Working remotely from home. You must also be available to come in to our head office in NW3 fortnightly or thereabouts.

Job Description
You will liaise with our Managers to collect the necessary information and paperwork and to obtain payment authorisations.
You will be responsible for analysing and recording credit cards and petty cash entries, inputting payment information (invoices and journals), preparing the weekly BACS runs, and assisting with general admin duties.
You will ensure that all suppliers are paid correctly to agreed credit terms and month-end deadlines and reporting requirements are met.
You also will participate in the budget compliance monitoring process.
You will need to have substantial experience of working in schools or nurseries and be very confident using QuickBooks accounting software.
