We have full-time and part-time opportunities for knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and caring Rebbeim and Morot to teach Judaic Studies with a start date of Fall 2021.
Full-time teachers teach two grade levels – one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Our curriculum begins with Kriah in the early years and expands to include Chumash, Chagim/Dinim, Navi, Ivrit and Jewish History.
Candidates should ideally have smicha and/or hold an education degree, and have a minimum of 1 year of elementary school teaching experience.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator or husband and wife team interested in making a significant impact on our school and the entire community. Couples who are open to taking on roles beyond VHA to deliver shiurim, entertain on Shabbat and yom tov, work with various shuls, and serve as Modern Orthodox role models will be a great fit. Additionally, we can facilitate employment for a spouse with other local Jewish institutions or in other fields (IT, healthcare, etc.).
Professional Requirements:
• Completion of a post-secondary Judaic Studies program (Yeshiva or Seminary)
• Completion of a teacher training course (certificate or degree program)
• Eligibility for a BC Independent School Teachers Certificate
